Yeah, I guess that post was from 5-6 years ago and I've switched to the safety razor now. I agree with what you're saying though! I have a Rockwell handle and I'm not a big fan. I find the mechanism for opening and closing kind of annoying and sticky, but in all honesty I can't be bothered to make a change. I have tried a variety of blades and I like the Big Bens, currently. I also like the Astra that someone mentioned earlier.
As far as soaps, the Castle and Forbes is nice and I use those mostly. I have been using an Arko shaving soap stick though, and it's just so convenient and easy. No brush, no making a lather...my laziness knows no bounds I suppose!
