Yup, that high save percentage was just how it went that year. Right now there is one full time goalie above .930. That year there were 6 (and most were backups). Hell, Quick was 42nd in the league in save%. Position wise the teams are similar.
Save percentage is an overrated stat. It ignores so much. It's especially irrelevant at any time mid game.
