I wonder how much longer we will continue to march forward with our current roster as it is. The sample size is getting decent in size, and we just seem to be rather middling.
The Flames have won 18 games and lost 21 games so far this season. We hold a wild card spot, and the team as a whole is playing pretty consistently well night in and night out, yet the efforts aren’t yielding anything more than middling results. It looks to me that they just don’t have the skill on the roster to score .5 more goals/allow .5 less goals
It’s such an odd place for the organization to be in. We just handed out some huge long-term contracts but yet the man who negotiated those deals is less than 6 months away from the end of his own contract. What is the direction of this team? What is the plan?
