Markstrom wasn't the problem. The problem is they weren't finding enough passing lanes, neither in the neutral zone (to get across the blueline with the puck on a stick) nor the offensive zone (to make the goalie move laterally for a shot). When we needed a goal we were making safe offensive plays as if we were tied or ahead, or had all the time in the world and a goal would be inevitable. I'd like to see more ambition.
