Personally speaking, my household food waste went up logarithmically when I had kids. You can't not cook them healthy food, but it's also damn near impossible to get them to eat most of it. I talk about food waste a lot in my household, but it's not as simple as making better choices and planning- trust me, I am planning to the maximum extent at the moment lol.
