It's interesting for me to see statements implying that the Flames "would look bad" if they made a tribute video for Johnny or that now that he's a Bluejacket, he's "just another player" from some who seem to be trying to deny their displeasure with him leaving. Johnny is the highest scoring American in Flames history and has the 2nd highest PPG by an American, behind Joey Mullen in Flames history. Really, if the Flames didn't make a tribute video, it would look bad and make the Flames look petty.
To the OP, if I were in attendance, I'd join in the boos because it's surprisingly fun to join a thousands-strong chorus of boos! I'm over him leaving the Flames, but I can still admit Johnny is the unicorn player (not Tkachuk), and he undoubtedly (along with Tkachuk) left the Flames weaker offensively.
