Notice the difference... the word
intended (which you left out for some reason)... is important here. For virtue signalling to have taken place, comments must have been made
for the purpose of presenting one's self in a particular way. None of my comments here were made for that purpose. And I don't think anyone else's comments here were either. People are just sharing their views on the topic, nothing more, nothing less.
If we were to go with the broader definition you typed, it would mean that any time anyone shares their opinion on anything, it could be considered virtue signaling.
