With that said, my wife has always had an IUD, and both times it's been taken out she's gotten pregnant quickly. I guess that depends on how much fire you like to play with, because the methods aren't 100%. However, an IUD is pretty damn close. IIRC, when it was something my wife and I were looking into, the FR was around 0.5-1%. I imagine it's likely only gotten better. However, age was also a factor, adding to that.
So...highly unlikely, but a 'surprise child' is not wholly out of the picture.
