For all the bad stuff that we complain about regarding Calgary cyclists I have to say that it is a pleasure sharing the roads with them after experiencing SoCal cyclists. It is really scary out here at night on streets where there might be cyclists because they do not have lights and they dress in dark clothes. It is impossible to see the cyclists and I honestly don't know why they would be so stupid. When I get onto a road with a bike lane at night I sit up in my seat and I start scanning the road like a hawk because I get so paranoid.
