The question is if they are cheap relative to other teams , not if they are “spoiled” on your opinion

Per Diem is a CBA negotiated right, so that is consistent across every team and part of their employment agreement

The Flames are competing against every other NHL team for a small number of specialized employees . The small things do matter .

Now I have no clue where we ranked on the employment intangibles but having the oldest arena as a start would lead me to believe the facilities are in the bottom of the league , and if the team is looking to save costs elsewhere the combination could certainly leave them at a competitive disadvantage when attracting / retaining talent
