Our media really doesn’t do it much at all. Generally speaking, the media doesn’t question/doesn’t criticize the organization. You’ll see some media pile on players at times, but never really towards the organization as a whole.
I wish Salim would be a bit more direct, but I generally think it’s an access problem. I have to believe that the organization just won’t suffer criticism from the media - otherwise we would have seen more than what we’ve seen in the last oh…20 years.
I’d sooner see Salim be critical, even if vaguely so, than not at all.
There’s been plenty of talk around Huberdeau struggling to adapt etc., but where’s the discussion around the lack of young players on this roster? Where are the questions around the lack of draft picks in recent years? General lack of success as a whole? The media has always treated this team with white gloves…and, well…we’ve had no success, so why? How is it that no one in the media is even really acknowledging that Treliving is 6 months away from being gone (other than Salim now).
