I think it's cool that we have the artists that are truly "ours". It's too bad for them that their audience didn't expand, but I like that we support our home-grown talent the way we do. Canadian music is awesome and I wish the world got more into the "Canadiana" versions of it (Hip, Sam Roberts, Arkells, etc..) moreso than our pop-stars. But I do like that we have it as our own and its high quality stuff that we can enjoy.
I'm sure most countries have these types of acts that most of us will never hear.
