Well if you want to talk about last year's playoffs talk about them.

If you want to walk into a game story from last night and say the Oilers dominated you're going to get pushed back.

I live in a world where actual stats can now be looked up to refute people who make conclusions for impact.

Confident teams don't spend the entire night in their own zone in a fire drill.

And save me the platitudes about wins and losses. We are all aware how the standings and season series work. Wanting to dig into the how and why and how much doesn't mean I'm oblivious to team's records.

A season series loss to the Oilers where the Flames give up more than they give up against other teams speaks to a systemic issue that needs to be fixed. The opposite points to a team that just got the results and didn't deserve them.
