We may be seeing different things. There were high quality shot
attempts but as par for this season, the shots either miss the net, or hit the post. I don't feel Skinner really had to stand tall on some saves to prevent a goal against.
On the other side of the ice, Markstrom made several good saves on high quality shots. I feel that although Flames shot totals were significantly more than Oilers, the Oilers overall shot quality was stronger.
With that said, I don't necessarily think the Flames should've done anything different. It's the way they gotta be with this roster, and in the final minute, there were two shot attempts that could've ended up a goal. But the lack of finish prevailed again.
