Thanks to this thread we are deep into season one of White Lotus and are enjoying it especially my wife. Getting her interested in a good show is half the battle so mission accomplished.

I was probaby a little too tipsy on my rant in the gear grinding thread last night after Christmas dinner, lol. But my sentiment hasn't changed. I really loved season one and was super excited for season two, but unfortunately that spoiler by DowninFlames in this thread kind of ruined the whole season for me. It's sooooo depressing as I don't get into a lot of shows.

As Jimmy Kimmel put it "it's a show where you know someone died and then the premise is to figure out who died and who killed them, and it's crazy cause you think it could be anyone!". Well take that away and the show is kind of ruined.

Once I knew who was dying I went from innocent watching to "okay, what's going to happen to her" watching. But as anyone knows when watching a show, it's all about the unknowing and anticipation of what could happen, what might the big plot twist ben etc.

With all that gone it was a totally different feel and sucked the life out of the anticipation and unknowing. To find out that her dying and the plot to kill her was literally the main premise and finale of the whole season just made that spoiler even more catastrophic.
