Where is the entourage? Where is the support?

Though this isn't limited to McDavid and could be said for most players who are in the league and been processed through the hockey system like robots now, everything's been given to him hockey wise since he was 13 or younger. He didn't have a normal teenage maturation where he had to learn social skills or develop or try and find who he was or his personality.
Even worse then he ends up in a place playing pro where the executive take that coddling of talented players to an extreme like it was 1981-1988 again, like it's a badge of honor to boast about just having the best player in the game on the team and in the city as it was Gretzky. No paying dues, no earning respect of vets as a team player. The team has been a disaster off the ice for decades because its executive allowed the players that had skill to run things.
He doesn't have anybody in the organization say no to him. Coaches are told to treat him differently. Players, even if there are vets that for some reason wanted to be part of that culture are also told to lay off him and let him do his own thing and not stifle anything that he wants to do...he has the local and national media, told also to treat him on a different level, fawning over him daily...so how would anyone in that situation and given all those circumstances and history, not feel they they are also owed penalties on the ice when everyone else is going out of their way to make sure things are given to him?
That makeup call is absolutely pathetic though. If every stick tsp was called there would be 30 penalties a game.
