Second point, which you ignored, is that the heat wave was at temperatures well exceeding +30, which is what the debate was about. So the number to cite to would be the lethality rate in Alberta at +30.
Lastly, heat wave deaths exceeding hypothermia deaths doesn't make you "win". It's still likely true that the majority of Albertans prefer +30 to -30, despite the horrific lethality of +30 you've clearly proven.
