Well I probably don't need to worry about it because I seriously doubt that flight will actually happen. More likely than not I get an email tomorrow at 6am telling me that it's also canceled. Seems like nothing is going from LAX to western Canada right now.

I agree with the above that the train is a non starter. We're considering renting a car one way and just driving up. There is a concern in our group, and I have no idea how true this is, that California vehicles are not shipped with fluids that are able to withstand temperatures much below freezing and thus we cannot do this, but it sounds highly implausible to me.

I looked at this - fly to Seattle and just head across the border. But it was even more of a hassle, like 17 hour layover at DFW, etc.
