If BPA (best prospect available) is out the window at our pick, assuming there are warts and strengths/weaknesses, etc for our pick, is it better for us to take a forward or a defenseman? Surely there will be a faller when all is said and done, but is there a deeper forward or defense group out there?

After losing Tkachuk and Gaudreau I think it makes sense to draft a top end winger with lots of offensive upside. Doesn’t necessarily have to be a solid two way player, we need someone that can get on the scoreboard.
