Sutter talks about this a lot - we lost two 40 goal players. We lost 2/3rds of the best line in hockey last season (and that line carried this team entirely last season.
Flames tried their best to stay relevant…and they’re still battling to stay relevant. They don’t have the skill to be much more than what they are - which is a bubble team. I imagine they’ll continue to battle right up until the end of the season.

I mean, this kind of just accepts that Huberdeau and Weegar were mirages. I don't buy that for an instant. Their skill will break through eventually.
