I know it's not an apples to apples comparison given the world we live in now, but the one season you can say the Flames actually did rebuild (2013-2014), the team had higher attendance than we've seen so far this season.
The only thing the team will lose is the potential for a couple games of playoff revenue. We're not getting that this season anyway.
