The team has changed and Sutter has not adapted his system.
He was embarrassed in that Oilers series. Cruising along to start this season, one loss to the Oilers, which was completely on Markstrom, and he goes into full panic and blow it up mode. The team has not recovered.
He has clear favourites and he rides them no matter what. If a non favourite makes a mistake it's bench time. If a Sutter guys effs up he gets sent out the very next shift.
I think Toffoli has been terrible this year and dragging down his line. Of course he's a Sutter guy, so he's stapled to Lindholm or Huberdeau or both.
