Personally, I don’t think they have given up on Sutter at all. They’re still engaged, playing hard, checking, keeping the shots and chances down.
But without 13 and 19, the easy goals are gone, they have to score the hard goals. The top line just made it so easy for everyone last year, generating momentum, dangerous scoring chances, tiring out opposition defenders and putting the next line out with possession and in a position to score.
