I've said before he's a brilliant mentor for individual players and may be second to none but I think he is a little behind on what the current nhl has become in terms of rosters and lines and I think there are a number of instances where he has made misguided decisions maybe because he sees something that just isn't there with this group and needs to re-evaluate his approach

Is it the coach's fault when the shooters keep missing the net, when players lose their coverage in the defensive zone, or when the goalie lets in a softie?
As for: 'is behind on what the current NHL has become', if true, then he has become so since last season. That's quite a swift drop-off.
