We have scored two or less goals in 11 of our last 23 games after the hot start. It's a serious problem.
Darryl's system and coaching style has historically struggled to produce above average offensive results. Bill Peter's rode a hot top line to a 2nd place offensive finish and western conference title too - so I take last years' results with a grain of salt.
In 70% of Darryl's seasons (14/20) as a head coach his teams have finished with less goals than the league average - and he's gotten a top five result just once. He's not a guy that has shown the ability to coach an exciting high scoring team with any regularity. And Yes, he does have two cup rings, but the game also isn't played the same way it was a decade ago either.
I have serious concerns whether or not he can get the most out of the top end offensive players on this roster.
