OK, minor update: I tried GeForce experience overlay (forgot that was even a thing, I only ever use RTSS) and it does work. Using that I can basically report that ray tracing is, as I said above, broken. If you turn that off and disable Nvidia hairworks, you get a... sort of functional game? Except that with my 3080 I am in the 50s for FPS at 4K with ultra settings, with occasional drops into the 40's (I ran around Novigrad to test this stuff out). DLSS doesn't seem to make a difference to framerates or anything else for that matter so I don't think it's been implemented yet. I didn't bother trying FSR.

Here's the kicker: neither my GPU utilization nor CPU utilization ever go above 50%. My GPU's sitting at 60 degrees and the fans aren't even spinning. CPU temps below 70... It's not even trying. Basically, this is the worst optimized piece of trash they could possibly have released.

My advice is, on PC, do not bother with this until they fix it.
