Monahan's contract has a cap hit that is $$2.125M more than Toffoli's.

Kadri isn't part of the equation for them and frankly the $2.125M cap hit doesn't come close to covering Kadri's cap hit anyways.

They took advantage of a GM overpaying for Toffoli in the 1st trade and desperately trying to create cap space for a free agent signing on the 2nd one and made out like bandits.

Heck Toffoli's only got 3 more points than Monny this year, let alone the 2 1st rounders!!

Whether you consider it as 2 separate wins or 1 combined massive win it really doesn't matter, huge W for them either way.

Again if the Flames did that you'd all call it a massive win.

Anyways there's no point trying to drill this simple logic into you guys anymore so i'm gonna drop it.

Sometimes i think the Flames fan base and inept organization really do deserve each other.
Right, that’s how you evaluate it from Montreal’s side. Anyone with half a brain knows that, from the Flames side, the evaluation includes Kadri.

The Monahan trade was great for Montreal, they gave up nothing for a 1st and Monahan. It was also great for the Flames, they gave up a 1st and Monahan for Kadri.

The reason why you’re struggling is not because you’re intellectually above the average Flames fan, it’s because your weird reasoning is a step below, so it’s difficult for people to dumb themselves down enough to understand what convoluted, irrelevant point you’re trying to make.

If you don’t think of yourself as a Flames fan, quit wasting your time here. You’re not adding anything.
