This game showed how weak the strength of schedule argument is. The Flames need to get themselves going, the schedule will not carry them to success.
I find it hard to believe that at this point in the season anyone could look at this team and be very happy with how they’ve played and ruminate on the quality of their opponents. Hopefully their play improves, I could not care less about the schedule.
You’re right, good teams don’t beat every single bad team. But they usually show up. Columbus dressed an AHL defense tonight.
