My N/A 2.5 Mazda 3 (2010) uses 10-11 L/100km (21-23 mpUSg) in the city and no better than 8.7ish L/100 km (27 mpUSg) on the highway in winter. (It improves to ~9/7.7 L/100 km [26/31 mpUSg] in the summer.) Only a five-speed automatic though, which shared the same gearing as the 2.0 L at the time. I have no doubt the newer 2.5 Sky-Activ six-speed is much much better, especially on the highway.
That said, my "toy" (beater POS) V12 only gets about 8 mpg in the city (~30 L/100 km), 15 on the highway...
