I'm obviously not an NFL coach for a reason, but I would have tried to run up the score as much as possible before the half and then run clock in the second-half of the game.

He coached not to lose. It's been a pattern all season, hence his ownership of the record for blown double digit losses in a season. I'm not an NFL head coach either but I know enough to know that there's been no Raiders defense in the last 20 years that's been good enough to play conservatively in front of. My issue with coaching not to lose in any scenario is that you have stopped coaching to win.
