Well yeah the Saints and Raiders are bad teams but it is curious how similar the two choke jobs were. It's just one of those things that NFL coaches screw up such elementary things such as running out the clock or calling out the exact opposite coverage for what the situation calls for. Too many coaches overthink situations rather than defer to common sense and it nearly always leads to disaster. Teams should have a set of coaches in the booth call the plays at the end of games based on situational algorithms when holding on to a lead and take it out of the hands of the guys on the sideline that lose focus and sensibility under pressure.

Thought the Raiders had a weird gameplan from the get go. Seemed like McDaniels was content to just run the ball and grind clock from the start of the game. It's like he thought the Rams wouldn't be able to score points, so let's just run the ball and get out of here as quick as we can.
I'm obviously not an NFL coach for a reason, but I would have tried to run up the score as much as possible before the half and then run clock in the second-half of the game.
