I don't judge people for wearing it, I judge people for saying things like it's top of the line or a bargain at twice the price like Sliver was. That's just... not the case. You can spend whatever you want on a coat that you like but you don't get to invent your own facts, and there are, objectively speaking, better coats in literally every category. There are warmer coats, there are lighter coats that are equally warm, there are cheaper coats that are equally warm or warmer, there are coats that have better features if you want to wear them while you're on a mountain (OK sidebar - I definitely do judge you if you're skiing or snowboarding in a CG jacket because they're just not for that), better storage, literally everything.
Subjectively, if you like the way your CG jacket feels and it does the job for you, that's great - enjoy your coat. But the judgment doesn't really come from the jacket itself, it comes from the attitude some people seem to have about it that goes something like, "I know they're more expensive but I'm willing to spend more money to get the absolute BEST winter jacket I can buy". That's... not what you're doing.
