History of pro or semi pro hockey in Calgary:
Tigers - Jersey used in HC 2011
Stampeders - Jersey not used. Various leagues from 1938 to 1961, won Allan Cup in 1946.
Broncos - Never played in WHA, not sure they ever had a jersey.
Centennials and Cowboys - Jersey used by Hitmen in Corral Series.
Wranglers: Used currently
So, my money is on the Stampeders, one name that hasn’t been used, who won something, ties in with CESC, and a Stampeders jersey recolored or modified, like the original HC one was relating to the Tigers.
And, why not go with the Edmonton Flyers, who won Allan Cup two years later in 1948 (2023 is 75 years since winning, ties in well). Could stick with green and mustard and have current CFL football team colours for both teams, or do a recolor to current blue and pylon orange.
