One, he was physically developed at the WJC, which allowed him to be dominant
Two, he played on a line with Laine and Aho, one of the best lines we've seen at the WJC in some time
Three, the game is a lot less complicated at that level, compared to the NHL
Four, some people just peak early
Just because he had a great 2 weeks, against a bunch of kids, does not mean that he will necessarily be a star in the NHL. In fact, with 7 years under the bridge since, it's a pretty safe bet that he never will be.
