Canmore has close proximity to Calgary which is something the Crowsnest Pass will never have. You know how many times I have heard that things will change there? Since the 90's I've heard that and it never changes and in fact it's just getting worse and worse. No new development ever happens there as mainstreet Blairmore has been left to die. One of the problems with a municipality is that you have four towns that can't ever agree on anything so nothing gets done. Decades ago they could have had an indoor pool in Blairmore but the other towns wanted it in their down so nobody gets an indoor pool. As you&me said, it's a dump and it's getting worse as time goes by. Nobody is going to ever commit the hundreds of millions of dollars to developing that place because it's too far from a major city.
