You couldn't give a house away in Canmore either in the early 80's after the coal mines closed. CNP is literally the only place in the Rockies that can be developed (Grande Cache too I suppose), everything else is in a park. And it's 2 hours from a major metropolitan centre. Over time I think it's going to change.
