You're out to lunch if you think Sutter is closing the door on Markstrom, who only a few months ago was putting the lights out in the first round against Dallas and a finalist for the Vezina.
Good goalies go through ups and downs and Markstrom has not been nearly as bad as some are leading to believe. On the other side, Vladar hasn't been nearly as amazing as some think either.
The bottom line for Sutter and the team is that you've got to go with the hot hand in Vladar when you need points to get back into the thick of the race. Sooner or later Markstrom will take his net back - that much I can nearly guarantee.
