You can absolutely have Pelletier come up and have a very limited role, even some healthy scratches at the NHL at this point. He's a second year pro who's excelling in the AHL. Spot duty in the NHL, being around the game at the highest level, will have benefits.
Get seven minutes, play well, he'll get more. Keep playing well, maybe get a promotion, an injury happens, he gets more minutes.
