I have no idea what's going on with Markstrom, but that series left a deep impression, and this year hasn't changed that impression much. That mid-height glove side shot is ... not his specialty.

I think most of what Markstrom is struggling with is in his head—that's usually what happens with goalies. The "weak glove hand" argument is a perception that is propped up by a lot of anecdotal reflection in hindsight. I don't know off hand, but I expect you will discover that every NHL goalie will allow a lot of high-gloveside goals. We tend to remember most of them because they are pretty spectacular, and they go in a lot, on everyone.
