IMO he's going to the ground to make a tackle, and by doing that as a defender you immediately put yourself at risk.

To me a "natural position" is more when your hands are naturally by your side, or you're in a running motion.

In this scenario the defender is making a defensive move, he leaves his hand in a vulnerable position (even if it's required to make the tackle), and the hand is taking up space that you shouldn't be expecting his hand to take up as an attacker.

Fernandes makes a nice move to go through him and nutmegs him, his hand was unnaturally between his legs and you need to call that IMO.

Slippery slope if you stop calling those and say it's because the defender needs that arm to break his fall. To me I guess it can be 50/50 by the rule of the law but I think that one should be called.
