Another wacky thing I've been hung up on lately is how Jesus made such a
crazy sacrifice for our sins. Like, it wasn't that big of a sacrifice. He endured the standard-issue torture of the day that 10s or 100s of thousands of other people did, too. If anything, I'd say he checked out kind of early. The hard part of being a human is the endurance part of it. He left in his 30s when you're still basically in your prime...try hanging around until you get older and fata up your back because you had the audacity to sneeze. A sacrifice would have been sticking around a little longer and helping us out. IDK, maybe leave some permanent proof of your being three gods in one since that is basically the most hilarious part of the religion, anyway. Like a monument twice as tall as Mount Everest or something that floats 10' above the ground. Something that could not be replicated and was basically magic.
And he was guaranteed to go to heaven where rubes would be worshipping for eternity. Oh sounds tough. What a sacrifice...thanks so much. And we appreciate you leaving a bunch of vague, impossible-to-prove BS on your way out the door that has created untold conflicts for the last 2000 years. Great job, guy. We owe you one.
