Herdman or the players will never say it, but they've made the WC despite the CSA, not becuase of it, and channeling that player (and coach) frustration is brilliance from Herdman and a big source of motivation in qualifying. I am sure he used it, again accuratly, for the Women as well. He wasn't first choice coach for the CSA for the Women or the Men, and still doesn't have the resources or support most national coaches would from their governing body (who now gets an allowance from a private group).
And, thus, as I said if he goes, this team will take a huge step back, mentally at least, with the CSA back at the controls.
