One thing Tkachuk does well - he is doing it in Florida exactly as he did in Calgary - he gets in front of the net on the PP, then drifts to the side, takes a pass and puts it in to the slot. Last year Lindholm was the beneficiary
Why can’t the Flames do that with someone else? Tkachuk is skilled, but it’s not like he’s some kind of PP genius. Who’s coaching the PP? They flat out abandon a proven strategic option because one guy leaves? And Florida just picks it up?
Gotta wonder - do they even coach / practice the PP?
