Apple's ToS are terrible. They just abuse the market share they have in the US to extort other companies into turning over their revenues. By Apple's ToS, if Twitter goes to $8/m fees, $2.40/m of every subscription from a user with an iPhone would need to go to Apple. iPhones make up almost 90% of the youth market share in the US. It's just monopoly behavior and I fully understand why no app producer would want to pay Apple that much, but they are forced to as long as Apple controls so much of the US market.
