Kids are strange (myself as a kid included). My son is only 2 years old right now, but I imagine he will do the same thing.

After 20 some odd years of making my own lunch or blowing 10-20 bucks on lunch.... Having a couple ham and cheese, an apple and a sandwich bag full of carrot sticks lovingly slapped together for me and waiting at the front door when I leave in the morning is literally magic. Nothing goes to waste.
The only trade off we have is I have to do the grocery shopping. She frikking hates it. I pretend to hate it.... but I actually secretly love it. I was always fascinated by grocery baggers when I was a kid.
