Although I am no fan of Smith's negativity and some of her comments regarding AHS, healthcare workers and still fighting the Covid war etc, there will be changes coming to our health care system. This is evident right across the country and being talked about in every province by everybody.
Certain things need to change, modernize, improve or whatever. Sometimes in life and in business, the people who will be most affected will be the ones who scream the loudest.
I recall reading a business story on CP Rail and the changes that were getting implemented there during the rein of Hunter Harrison, for those who don't know who he was, think of him like the Steve Job's of railroads. He came into the Calgary headquarters during Stampede week on his first day, saw all his top executives were out partying. He put a stop to that quickly! Went down to the basement one day, saw a mountain of Fedex boxes piled up, ready for shipping. Asked where they were going, "The Alyth yard" he was told, which is the railroads yard in Ogden as opposed to the downtown office. He couldn't believe they were sending boxes of items down to Memphis, Tennessee and than up to Calgary.
His next order of business was canning almost everybody in the customer service department, his line of thinking was, if your a company with awful customer service, your going to have a large customer service department.
Not saying I agree with everything but changes are always going to be hard.
