Yeah Rhett is out to lunch here.
Huberdeau has been their best forward the last two games probably, and Sutter probably agrees since he leads the team in ice time at 5v5 over the last two games (bigger problem being Lewis is second)
In those two games at 5v5 among forwards:
TOI: 28:36 (1st)
Corsi: 67.9% (1st)
Scoring Chances: 72.0% (1st)
High Danger: 85.7% (1st)
XGF: 73.8% (1st)
I’ll add they were given offensive high ground in those games with o-zone starts but they made the most of it.
Honestly I really like Huberdeau and Backlund together…which is intriguing…think they just need a better finisher than Lewis on the other side.
