“At the end of the day, I really don’t want to get into too much of that,” Tkachuk replied when asked about his old boss. “But I will say coming down here and coming to a new environment and getting a chance to work with Paul (Maurice), it has been unbelievable playing for a guy like that. I really enjoy it. He is definitely my favourite one I’ve had throughout my whole NHL career. He’s obviously on me a lot and he expects the best out of me, but he does it right where he’s on me and then positive and he has a great feel for the room. And I think that’s one of the other positives I’ve seen coming down here is just the way he’s able to read a room and get the best out of all of us we all just love so much playing for him. I feel super lucky to have him as the coach.



“And Bill (Zito), as well, he’s an unbelievable GM. I have been super lucky with my two GMs so far, to have Tre and Bill. They’re both unbelievable guys and unbelievable at what they do.”
