That's been my assumption for weeks now. You really have to give some mustard to inserting the plug, and black ABS on black ABS is extremely tricky to see if it's fully inserted (esp on some of the AIBs).
I'm pretty sure Johnny Guru was the first to publicly point it out (but I was musing about it on Discord before his article came out
