Hilarious seeing the Russian trolls online complain how aid should stop because Zelensky "lied" and the escalation came from the Ukraine side.
Couple things on that.
First of all, yesterday the missile hitting Poland completely distracted from the fact that yesterday was apparently the largest amount of missiles launched at Ukrainian
civilians since the war started. Russians crying about how Zelensky lied and aid should stop based on this, yet completely ignore the fact that a hundred missiles were targeted at civilians. Absolute tragedy what happened in Poland. But #### Russian for causing that in the first place. If Russian doesn't invade and launch a hundred missiles on this day, this doesn't happen. Was only a matter of time before something like this happened and only one side is to blame. One.
Second, Russia has lied and lied and lied every step of the way. They absolutely 100% do not deserve the benefit of a doubt. This event can happen a hundred times more, and each time Russia should be the primary suspect until proven otherwise. That's the price you pay for being a global liar on the world stage.
Third, I still believe that even though signs apparently point to Ukraine, aid should still be increased and larger more powerful weapons sent, as if Russia did it. Why? Because things like this will continue to happen in the future as long as Russia keeps volleying missiles like it's a free throw game and playing with fire shooting so close to a NATO border.
There is about a 5% conspiracy theorist in me that believes this actually was Russia, NATO and allies know about it, but are so incredibly desperate to avoid a direct conflict with Russia that they are sweeping this under the rug and taking the blame off of them. They will have back channeled to them that they know it's them and this is the absolute last straw before NATO steps in and does something about it. Again, conspiracy theorist in me saying that, but I can't shake the feeling that this could be the case in order to not confront Russia on the battlefield.
Russia will cry about this over the next few days, but don't let that distract from the fact that they are still targeting civilians on a massive scale, without mercy and they now have the perfect distraction to keep doing it.
